Texas police have adopted a network monitoring and disaster recovery solution.

The Police Department of University Park, Texas, is using ABM Phoenix to monitor local security alarm networks and NSI Double-Take to capture data.

The Double-Take software also allows the department to backup critical information, in case of a disaster or failover.

"Our customers are required to receive and process vast amounts of critical data effectively and efficiently," said Jim Burkey, general manager at ABM Data Systems. "Their actions frequently involve life-safety and protection of property, which leaves no room for error, or loss of data."

ABM Data Systems, which distributes Phoenix and Double-Take, has recently joined NSI Software's reseller network and will sell security products.
