iTnews State of Security Breakfast comes to Sydney

Cyber security teams are facing an increasingly complex environment, with growing volumes of data, expanding attack surfaces and the rapid adoption of technologies such as AI reshaping how organisations approach security.

As enterprises modernise their technology environments, security leaders are being challenged to strengthen identity and access controls, protect sensitive data and improve visibility across increasingly distributed systems.

At the same time, the growing use of AI is creating new questions around data governance, security and responsible adoption, adding further complexity to an already evolving threat landscape.

These issues will take centre stage at the upcoming iTnews State of Security Breakfast Roadshow, taking place in Sydney on Wednesday, November 25 at Establishment Ballroom.

The breakfast will bring together senior security and technology leaders to explore key findings from the State of Security report, with three panel discussions focused on some of the key issues shaping enterprise cyber security.

The first session, Zero Trust, will examine how organisations are moving beyond the theory of Zero Trust towards practical implementation. The discussion will explore identity, segmentation and continuous verification, as well as the architectural and cultural changes required to implement Zero Trust across modern hybrid environments.

The second panel, Data Security & AI Governance, will look at the growing intersection between data security and AI. As AI becomes increasingly embedded across the enterprise, security leaders are navigating how to protect sensitive information across cloud platforms, AI models and automated workflows while maintaining transparency, control and responsible data use.

The final discussion, Centralising Security Information, will explore how organisations are managing growing volumes of security data, alerts and signals. The panel will examine approaches including SIEM and data lakes, and how centralising security information can improve visibility and support detection and response across complex environments.

Each panel will include opportunities for audience discussion, allowing attendees to share experiences and perspectives with fellow security and technology leaders.
