Microsoft Australia has announced that Pip Marlow has been appointed the vendor's general manager for Australia, to replace departed managing director Tracey Fellows.
Fellows vacated the role of 'managing director' last month after being promoted to area Vice President for Microsoft in the Asia Pacific region, a role governing 12 territories from Singapore.
Marlow, who returned from Christmas leave today to take up the position, has experience across a broad spectrum of Microsoft's key markets.
Until today, Marlow had juggled the running of Microsoft's enterprise business, its public sector business and its partner (reseller) business as Enterprise and Partner Group Director and Public Sector Director.
Marlow has also been employed by Microsoft to manage its small and medium business solutions.
“I feel both confident and proud handing the reigns of Microsoft Australia to Pip,” Fellows said in a statement today.

“Pip has contributed so much, in so many parts of our business and the appointment couldn’t be more deserved. Pip’s local experience gives her many strong customer and partner relationships that will continue to grow in this new role.”
