By incorporating the ActivCard solution, a spokesman from BT said the firm expects to significantly reduce user authentication costs for its secure remote access solution.
"We were impressed by the richness of function, the simplicity of architecture and the total cost of ownership of the overall solution," said Ashok Patel, strategy manager for internet and distributed technology at BT. "This will provide our users with greater functionality and ease of use thus making significant cost savings on user account management."
The ActivCard authentication devices work in conjunction with the ActivCard AAA Server.
