Traditional bricks and mortar businesses are being forced to spend just as much time on the technology underpinning their operations as they do choosing what stock to sell.

As Domino's Pizza Wayne McMahon put it, "we're a digital company that's thinly disguised as a pizza company. We see it as a competitive advantage".

For McMahon, this manifests itself in offerings like the GPS Driver Tracker. For fellow finalist, CIO of soon-to-be-defunct chain Dick Smith Paul Keen, getting industry-wide standards in place for the exchange of data is hoped to make the online retail industry operate much more efficiently.

Learn more about the projects in the video below, as well as the upcoming technology that most excites this pair of CIOs.
