Netgear ramps sales team

Nasdaq-listed networking vendor Netgear has added four staff to its sales team and opened an office in New Zealand.

Nasdaq-listed networking vendor Netgear has added four staff to its sales team and opened an office in New Zealand.


All four staff have solid experience in the channel and will work on lifting the US vendor's corporate profile in Australia or New Zealand.

Former Ingram Micro marketing executive Robert Savellis has been appointed channel development manager. Savellis will be responsible for working with and developing Netgear's New South Wales reseller channel and the company's Powershift channel support program.

Katrina Myles from rival networking vendor D-Link is starting as account manager with Netgear. Myles, a former channel and education manager at D-Link, will focus on building corporate business.

After three-and-a-half years as account manager at distributor Express Data, Tom Leggett has joined Netgear as northern region manager. Leggett is to work on building the networking vendor's corporate profile in Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Netgear has also appointed a region manager for New Zealand, James Caldwell. Caldwell's last role was product manager at national distributor Tech Pacific. Caldwell will manage all NZ channel activity, programs and initiatives for Netgear.
