Meier Technology Group (MTG) has bought a Sydney-based supply chain specialist, Evolve 360, in a deal that lifts the group's total number of staff to 50 and combined revenue to $12 million.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Martin Meier, chief executive of MTG, said ERP-focused Evolve 360 would be MTG's only distribution and warehousing offerings provider.

As such, the acquisition would help MTG penetrate new markets and develop new business.

Meier Business Systems (MBS), another member of MTG, would now focus on developing its Software Distribution and Technology Solutions business.

MBS distributed IBM's U2 database and related tools software, among other products and tools.

Mike Bowers, managing director at Evolve 360, said the developer and reseller would keep developing and marketing its e-360 portfolio.

It would also add MTG's Masterpack and Warehouse Manager to its own product range.

"The combined experience and excellence of the group's staff will undoubtedly enhance our products," Bowers said.

MTG has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Kuala Lumpur and agents in New Zealand, Malaysia, US, UK and South Africa.
