Getronics acquires RedSiren

Getronics North America, an IT solutions and services firm, has acquired managed secuirty provider RedSiren.

Executives said the acquisition will allow Amsterdam-based Getronics to integrate security services into its managed help desk and IP-enabled converged communications services. Getronics has regional offices in Boston, Madrid and Singapore.


Based in Pittsburgh, Pa., RedSiren provides consulting and security education services in addition to managed security. It also operates the International Information Integrity Institute, which has more than 65 CSO members from Global 500 companies and research institutes.

Doug Goodall, RedSiren's presidnet and CEO, along with other members of RedSiren's management team, will join Getronics.

This follows Getronics opening of its new global security centre last month (as reported in SC Magazine here) and deal with Counterpane which will supply security tools to the company.
