Dimension Data is set to acquire Bellerephon Group, an Australian IT consulting organisation based on the NSW Central Coast.

Bellerephon had developed a framework for the delivery and management of Microsoft desktop and servers. This software can be applied in multiple corporate customer environments, according to DiData.

David Hanrahan, national business manager at Dimension Data Australia, said the integrator had been partnering with Bellerephon for the past 10 months. "They developed IP around managing Microsoft desktops and servers," he said.

Dimension Data would take this "world-class" Aussie-developed intellectual property to the global market, he said.

Completion of the acquisition would be "subject to performance metrics", Hanrahan said. It was expected that Bellerephon's development team would be retained.

Bellerephon uses documented processes, embedded logic, template driven documentation and resources to plan, design and deliver management systems. It maintains a centralised library of packaged applications, certified for Windows XP, DiData said.
