Employee experience platform Culture Amp has appointed Samm MacLeod as vice president for security and risk.

MacLeod joined the company in an interim capacity in April this year and will join Culture Amp permanently in October.
According to the chief financial officer and chief operating officer, Sally Bruce, “Samm will lead global security and deliver organisation-wide best practices in security for Culture Amp and for our customers. We knew Samm was going to be an invaluable asset to the business when she stepped into the interim role to help on a short-term basis, but we just had to have her stay at Culture Amp once we saw how she works.”
MacLeod’s previous leadership roles in security include interim GM at NBN Australia, CISO at AGL Energy, CISO at ME Bank, Technology and security risk solutions director GE Capital ASPAC and Oracle Corporation key account director.
Her most recent role before Culture Amp was as a partner and interim CISO at The Security Collective. She is also currently a member of the CxO security advisory board at Netskope.
Commenting on her Culture Amp appointment, MacLeod said, "After getting to know the Culture Amp team, and seeing the opportunity to build amazing things in collaboration with a world-leading employee experience tech company I am really excited to join on a permanent basis.”
According to her LinkedIn profile, MacLeod said, “Having worked in large Financial Services, Technology, and Utility companies, medium tiered Consulting firms, and having run my own businesses, I bring a unique set of experiences and perspective to the management of technology and cyber risk.
"I build strong relationships, engage with multiple stakeholders, and influence change that drives appropriate commercial outcomes. I am a problem solver and I enjoy engaging on security concepts with business leaders.”
