Levinson has held the role for over three years, but will now “lead [Cole's]mission to enhance customer experiences across web, mobile, and in-store journeys, the supermarket retailer announced.

Coles previously laid out plans to strengthen its digital offerings with new in-app features, technology trials and omnichannel engagement.

A Coles spokesperson told iTnews the appointment of Levinson “is a testament to our commitment to creating opportunities to build great careers at Coles”.

The spokesperson added Levinson has led a number of e-commerce and digital portfolios and teams since joining Coles in 2022.

“Prior to this appointment, Ben led our digital strategy, insights and transformation team, delivering key initiatives to accelerate our digital offer including electronic shelf labels, the recently announced AI-powered smart carts trial and the unification of our customer care functions," they said.

Before joining Coles, Levinson was the head of CX products at Amazon and has held various digital and tech-based roles throughout his career.
