The company has advertised for an experienced chief information officer or IT leader to oversee two geographically dispersed IT teams from its headquarters in Bega, in south-eastern NSW.

The newly created role involves developing a consolidated IT strategy across the 1600-person organisation, and leading maintenance and enhancements to Bega’s software and hardware platforms.

Recruitment documents flagged upcoming enterprise resource planning and business intelligence projects.

Bega this week reported a profit of $15.9 million for the six months to December 30, up 13.6 percent from the previous corresponding period.

The company spent $10.8 million on capital projects during that period, including investments in infrastructure, capacities and automation and process improvement.
