More than 80 percent of IT security professionals who visit SCMagazine.com would recommend the site to their colleagues, while another 61 percent agree that the information they find on the site helps them to do their jobs better, according to a December reader survey conducted by Harvey Research on SC Magazine's behalf.

Data for the survey was collected from 402 respondents who visit SCMagazine.com at least six times per year. Out of these, nearly 80 percent say the site keeps them up to date on IT security issues.

Additionally, of the 94 percent of respondents who are involved in the purchase of IT security products and services, close to 90 percent of them use SC Magazine's Product Reviews and Group Tests before making some purchases.

More than half of these buyers say the content of SCMagazine.com is very influential in purchasing decisions related to IT security products and services, while that same percentage of readers refer SC Magazine's Group Tests and Product Reviews to their colleagues. Plus, almost half the respondents use SC Magazine's Vendor Directory to find potential vendors.
