NBN Co has announced plans to more than double in size during the next year as it shifts from planning to constructing and operating the nation’s wholesale fibre network.

The company of 700 staff today announced plans to hire an 1000 more workers through an internal recruitment team and suppliers.

NBN Co’s head of corporate services, Kevin Brown, said it had a database of more than 15,000 applicants.

Its newly appointed panel of recruiters comprised:

  • Construction: BDS People, Charterhouse Partnership, Integrated Group Limited, Skilled Group Limited
  • Tech Ops: BDS People, Clarius Group Ltd, Data#3 Limited, Launch Recruitment, Skilled Group Limited
  • Telco / IT: Clarius Group Ltd, Interpro, Launch Recruitment, Paxus Australia Pty Ltd, Talent International
  • Corporate: Astrum Recruitment Ltd, DFP Recruitment Services, Executive Marque, HOBAN Recruitment, Impact Executive Solutions Pty Ltd, JLegal Pty Ltd, Launch Recruitment, Skilled Group Limited, Vantage Recruitment
