Lenovo has appointed John McCloskey as its managing director ANZ for its the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) arm.

Based in Sydney, McCloskey role in championing Lenovo’s end-to-end solutions, spanning from the edge to the cloud, while elevating customer confidence throughout the market.

McCloskey began his role on September 11. 

His appointment comes as the company continues investing in advancing AI capabilities and partnerships to lead the new era of IT.

McCloskey brings with him a career spanning more than 25 years in the IT industry across Europe and Australia.

Most recently, he served as the enterprise sales director at Veeam Software, where he spent more than five years in the role. McCloskey has also worked with Dell for more than 20 years in various enterprise-based roles. 

Sumir Bhatia, president at Lenovo ISG Asia Pacific said he is excited to welcome McCloskey as the managing director for ISG ANZ. Which he said is a crucial step in advancing its data centre business in the region.

“His arrival coincides with our strategic efforts to drive intelligent transformation,” he said.

“McCloskey's expertise and seasoned leadership will play a vital role in positioning Lenovo as the most trusted end-to-end technology partner and fostering successful customer and alliance partnerships."

McCloskey said he is delighted to join Lenovo and lead the ISG business in ANZ.
