DiData subsidiary Express Data has launched an online information service to help resellers earn more from renewable support deals.
The distributor said the internet-based service would advise resellers of customers whose contracts were about to expire.
Express Data said it believed resellers could be missing out on as much as $50 million in total from annually-renewable maintenance contracts.
The service was based around a new Express Data portal for annuity business which was to be managed by dedicated staff.
Express Data claimed the website could show resellers all potentially renewable deals three months in the past and three months in advance.
However, the portal does not incorporate an automatic notification system but requires resellers to visit it regularly and search for the information needed.
The portal would assist with monitoring hardware and software licensing revenue also.
Further, the new service -- which Express Data claimed was unique in Australia -- might encourage more resellers to get into renewable contracting.
The distributor planned to push the opportunities available via renewable annuities in an Australia-wide tour to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra, which started today, 13 February.
