EC: IT industry should stop spam

The EC has asked anti-spam experts to review their strategy.

EC official Philippe Gerard blamed bad communication between anti-spam professionals for the millions of junk emails that are sent every day.


Gerard said that it was time for industry to act now the correct legislation has been put in place.

Gerard said that law alone would fail to solve the problem as he urged IT professionals and ISPs to work harder to solve the problem.
