3Com patent win a US$15M sting for Intel

The suits include one brought by 3Com against Xircom, and two by suits Xircom filed against 3Com.


3Com has walked away from its long-running patent dispute with Intel subsidiary Xircom with a US$15 million settlement.

Further details of the settlement were not disclosed.

In July, Xircom successfully sought to have an interim injunction to prevent Xircom selling 26 products, including RealPort and RealPort2, that it claimed infringed 3Com patents.
