Protegrity has acquired data security company OmniSecure, which has developed a file-encryption product that offers speed and transparency without requiring changes to existing applications. Terms have not been disclosed. The deal comes seven months after Protegrity acquired application security vendor Kavado.

Banks and other enterprises are deploying Diversinet's MobiSecure, a suite of mobile tokens and over-the-air provisioning infrastructure. The solution is designed for mass market consumer applications and can be delivered via mobile devices.

Intrusic, an internal security solutions provider, has elected James Mobley to its board of directors. Mobley – Symantec's former vice president of professional services – will help develop Intrusic's future plans and bring new technologies to market.
