Telstra takes on former Optus partner Telechoice

Telstra has taken former Optus partner Telechoice under its wing, signing a wholesale agreement with the telco reseller this month.

Telechoice was dumped by Optus in October last year following a long-running relationship, after Optus decided to refocus its retail and distribution strategy.

It was a premium Optus reseller since its conception in 1995, offering mobile phone, internet and telecommunication services across 154 national stores.

Telechoice’s Optus license terminated on March 31 this year. It signed a new agreement as a Telstra wholesaler a day later. 

The wholesaler’s website now reads: “Our arrangements with Telstra wholesale means we have the ability to offer customers a great network and the best special deals.”

It is offering mobile plans on monthly, yearly or two-yearly contracts, ranging from $15 to $60 on a mixture of plans with up to 3GB of data per month.

Neither Telechoice nor Telstra responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
