The Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services is on the hunt for a chief information officer.

The role, which according to the job posting has a “high degree of autonomy”, requires a candidate with knowledge of all layers of technology and IT services.

It also calls for an individual able to provide high level advice within the Agency to the Secretary and the various departmental chief executives.

Based in Hobart, the role has a total salary package in the vicinity of $210,000 a year. 

The listing also makes much of Hobart’s relative lack of congestion, as well as its cultural and natural amenities.
