Niche VAD Lan 1 has been busy travelling Australia to promote Iomega Rev Drive to its resellers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Lan 1 said in a statement that it anticipated "strong demand" for Iomega's latest removable hard disk system. Some 20 partners had signed up for the Iomega Partner Program as a result of the roadshows, it said.

Daniel Lee, managing director at Lan 1, said the storage, networking and security distributor also offered technical support and other reseller programs.

"This is the third roadshow we've run in as many months," Lee added.

Lan 1 has claimed to be pretty excited about the new Iomega Rev 35GB/90GB Atapi drive, which it said can back up and restore 'up to eight times faster' than tape.

The drive also had drag-and-drop functionality, password protection and encryption, the company said.

It also used Iomega automatic backup software and Norton Ghost disaster recovery software, Lan 1 said.

Lan 1 has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. It also pushes gear from Adaptec, ADIC, ATTO, Fujitsu, Iomega, JVC, Legato, Pioneer, Roxio, Snap Appliance, TDK, D-Link, Axis Communications, Fortinet and SonicWALL.
