iPhone multiple Touch ID logins a feature, not flaw

Reports have emerged tenuously labelling an iPhone 5s login feature a hack. The so-called bug allowed multiple people to enroll their fingerprints with the Touch ID login mechanism.

Under a deliberate feature, up to five fingerprints could be enrolled on one phone using the biometric Touch ID scanner.

Because all fingerprints were different -- even on the same hand -- multiple users could register to access a device.

The feature was said to be a security threat should attackers convince iPhone users to permit them to register their fingerprints.
