Insignia Financial plans 'fresh start' for cyber strategy

The ASX-listed superannuation fund is hunting for a new head of cyber security strategy and governance in an effort to “achieve greater security and resilience”.

According to a job advertisement, the new “architect of [Insignia’s] cyber security framework” will have a dedicated budget and newly approved cyber security operating model to work with.

“This is a fresh start, an opportunity to shape the future of cyber security at Insignia Financial, building a new era of cyber resilience,” the advertisement states.

An Insignia Financial spokesperson declined to comment further on the new cyber strategy when contacted by iTnews.

The superannuation fund operator already has a general manager of cyber security, James Ng, who joined the company in October and is leading the overall cyber strategy.

The cyber team, according to the advertisement, is currently playing a “pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation's information assets and mitigating cyber risks”.
