Fuji Xerox strengthens managed services offering. But at what cost to resellers?

Fuji Xerox Australia acquires KAZ BPO Division
Fuji Xerox Australia has announced its acquisition of the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) division of KAZ Group (KAZ), a wholly owned subsidiary of Telstra Corporation.

Managing director, Andy Lambert, announced this morning that they had purchased Fuji Xerox Australia will integrate the KAZ BPO division into Fuji Xerox Global Services (FXGS), the company’s managed services division.

FXGS provides a range of outsourced services to the Australian market, including business process services.

"The purchase of the KAZ BPO division strengthens our service delivery capability, increasing the value delivered to both our own, as well as to KAZ BPO customers.

The first 90 days immediately after contract finalisation will allow us to assess the KAZ BPO operations and ensure a smooth integration of both organisations’ processes," he said.

Mike Foster, managing director of KAZ said the service provider determined that as it was not core to our ICT services strategy, it would be in the best interests of its employees and clients to take a decision now to sell the business to Fuji Xerox Australia.
