Defence Dept launches online Who’s Who
Top Brass is an industry publication that covers Australia and New Zealand Defence and Defence Industry, as well as a select number of defence industry people and companies.

The first edition was released only in hard copy, but the DoD chose to make the second edition freely available through the Top Brass website, http://www.topbrassonline.com.

Greg Combet, Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Procurement, said that the second edition of Top Brass makes negotiating the Defence organisations much easier.

“Top Brass contains organisational charts and agency descriptions for all Defence groups and includes biographies of senior Australian and New Zealand Defence leaders and key senior Defence Industry leaders,” Combet said.

“The 08/09 edition extends its scope by incorporating organisational profiles on Defence industry giving them the opportunity to highlight their business to the Defence organisation.”

A defence spokesperson said that putting Top Brass online was a project “a year or two in the making”.

Another first for Top Brass is the inclusion of the New Zealand Department of Defence and New Zealand Defence industry information, making it an ‘ANZAC’ edition.

“Top Brass presents [the] Defence industry with a user friendly guide to help find the right person to talk about their product or service,” said Combet.

Top Brass Online will be available to the public in the next few weeks.
