The Apple-1 is on display at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.
Bidding for the Apple-1 starts at US$300,000, with the online auction running until July 9.
Only about 200 Apple-1 computers were made, with an original price of US$666.66. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak later said he chose the number because "to me that was just an easier way to type".
The last Apple-1 auctioned sold for US$671,000. Prior to that, one failed to sell at auction in October 2012, passed in at US$51,155.
