Wireless networks put to the test

An "Irish Honeynet," established to test the security of wireless networks, managed to attract 12 unique MAC addresses in just a two-week period. Although most seemed to be looking for free internet access, some attempted to locate vulnerable PCs and even download network scanning software. The honeynet was initiated by Espion, Deloitte and Data Electronics.
