This session will explore how organisations of any size can leverage agile and scalable flash storage environments to support workloads ranging from UQs advanced vaccine development work to modern data challenges faced by organisations every day.

Jake Carroll - inaugural Chief Technology Officer of the University of Queensland’s Research Computing Centre. Jake has spent the last fifteen years in private enterprise, government, health, tertiary education and the research/scientific computing field, and has held senior ICT leadership roles for multiple large scientific research institutes.

Andy Walls - Chief Architect and CTO for IBM’s Flash Systems Division. Andy is an IBM Fellow and a pioneer in enabling MLC and then TLC flash into the enterprise and has developed an infrastructure for servers and storage which achieves the highest performance while still providing the endurance and availability that the enterprise and data center require.
