Youi appoints Angela Greenwood as CMO

Insurance company Youi has appointed Angela Greenwood as chief marketing officer, joining the team from Optus.

Greenwood was at Optus for over 5 years, with her most recent role as senior director of consumer marketing. While holding the title her team was awarded the 2020 Mumbrella marketing team of the year award.

Before her work at Optus, Greenwood held several senior marketing roles, including at Mortgage Choice, UK marketing agency Found, and she is currently on the board of In-House Agency Council and the advisory board of martech company Marketing Evolution.

In a Linkedin post, commenting on her move from the telecommunications giant Greenwood said, “Saying farewell to a life changing experience is never easy. A huge thank you to everyone who was part of my five and half year journey at Optus. I had the opportunity to work with the best of the best and I’m incredibly proud of everything we achieved together.”

As CMO at Youi, Greenwood will be responsible for supporting the business’ next phase of growth.

According to Youi CEO, Hugo Schreuder, “Since day one Youi has set out to do things differently, so we were looking for a CMO that is innovative, forward thinking and with a passion to achieve extraordinary outcomes – we’re confident Angela is the right person to lead our marketing strategy and team.”

Schreuder said he expects the marketing team, Youi customers and the broader business to be positively impacted by Greenwood’s leadership.

Her role be effective on the 20th of June, located at Youi’s Sunshine Coast headquarters
