Software company Veritas has announced it will reduce prices by 12 percent across its entire product range, in a move the company said follows the strengthening of the Australian dollar.

Bruce Lakin, acting managing director and head of channels, for Veritas in Australia/New Zealand, said the price reductions were a natural extension of Veritas' company philosophy -- to pass on any cost savings directly to its customers and channel partners.

“Our business is primarily channel-led, so adjustments of this nature are a great incentive for resellers to work with Veritas,” Lakin said.

Veritas said the adjustments were effective immediately.
