The Mutual Bank on the lookout for a CRO

The Mutual Bank is in recruitment mode for chief risk officer (CRO) as continues to build out its executive team under its new leadership direction. 

The new CRO will take over from Kelly Wyman, who resigned from the role this May and has held the role since September 2022. 

“It’s with mixed emotions that I post, that I have resigned as the chief risk officer at The Mutual Bank,” Wyman posted on LinkedIn.

“I am really proud of everything I and my wonderful team have achieved in my time at The Mutual Bank and that I know they will continue to achieve. 

Wyman said thanked the “board and my team” and is “now looking forward to what the future holds and my next adventure”. 

The bank said in its job listing that the new CRO “will play a pivotal role in shaping our risk management strategy and driving a positive organisational risk culture through collaboration to instil risk awareness across the business.”

The selected candidate will report to CEO Mark Williams, who was only appointed in the role in July last year.

Since his appointment, the bank has appointed two new leaders to the executive teams as it continued to build out its senior line up.

The Mutual Bank welcomed Josh Hessel as chief digital and technology officer in July 2023 and David Vincent as chief financial officer this past January.
