Appointed CTO from April.

Telstra's IT and software engineering lead Kieran O'Meara will move into a newly created chief technology officer role at Bendigo Bank from the start of April.

O'Meara will lead technology operations and delivery execution at the bank.

He said in a statement that he would continue "work that has been done to build capability and simplify" the Bendigo Bank business and "support the next phase of Bendigo Bank’s busy growth agenda."

At Telstra, O'Meara led the telecommunications software engineering and enterprise IT function, and had a total stint of about 12 years, covering IT projects such as Telstra’s work with Infosys to fast-track its digital transformation and build its software engineering capabilities.

The change was necessitated by Bendigo and Adelaide Bank's chief information officer Andrew Cresp leaving for Newcastle Greater Mutual Group.

Nathalie Moss, who has been its acting CIO since Cresp's departure, will stay on and support O'Meara.

However, Bendigo's chief transformation officer Ryan Brosnahan is set to leave in mid-2025.
