Shavlik Technologies has teamed up with solutions integrator Networld to sell its patch management application in Japan.

A Shavlik spokesman said the Japanese market represented a significant expansion opportunity, where there were few patch management providers with a local-language application and support.

"Applying security patch management is another hot security issue in the Japanese industry," says Yasuhiko Nakamura, president of Networld Corporation. "[We are] pleased to contribute to a safer IT environment in Japan through our partnership with, Shavlik."

Shavlik will launch its Japanese patch management solution by the end of this month.
