Hard drive market leader Seagate, is making a push into the Australian consumer market, with a new range of external storage devices.


Riding the wave of a fast-moving portable storage trend, Seagate has announced four new portable consumer devices:

The Seagate Pocket Hard Drive is a 5GB device designed to appeal to users of USB solid-state devices, but with the appeal of far greater storage.

Seagate also claim the world's first 5GB Compact Flash device, pitched specifically for photography, PDAs and gaming devices.

100GB and 400GB external hard drives complete the new line-up. All units are priced under $620, available through Harvey Norman and Harris Technology.
