Bigger and better event coming in 2013.

The Systems Administrators Guild of Australia has cancelled its 2012 conference.

SAGE-AU 2012 conference cancelled

Ticket sales to the annual event were frozen on Friday following the sudden resignation of SAGE-AU’s executive officer, Burke Scheld.

The board of the industry association now intends to focus on building a bigger and better event for members in 2013.

“After receiving the unexpected resignation of the employee tasked with organising the event with only five weeks to go, the SAGE-AU board has reluctantly determined that running the conference in October would be detrimental to the organisation's goals and its members' interests,” the association informed its members.

The board will also have to relocate the SAGE-AU Annual General Meeting, which was scheduled to take place at the conference.
