One of NAB’s senior leaders, Stevie-Ann Dovico, has made the shift to customer-owned, Beyond Bank as its new chief information officer.

Dovico announced via LinkedIn she was “happy to share” the start of the new role and is “ready to create real impact for and with our people, customers and communities.”
In this role, Dovico will replace Fiona Floyd who left the bank in August year after around two years in the role.
As the new CIO Dovico will lead Beyond Bank’s national technology team while also driving a refreshed digital strategy.
Dovico will also report to the bank’s CEO, Jake Bromwich.
The strategy will have a strong focus on enabling technology to create an exceptional experience for customers through both the bank’s digital channels and via its national branch network and call centres.
Dovico told Digital Nation, "Banking experiences, while relationship-led at heart are driven by code.”
“So, leading the technology teams who write these lines of code is incredibly exciting and an absolute privilege, one where I can truly feel the impact we have on our customers and our communities.
“I’m keen to build on our award-winning digital platforms in internet banking and mobile starting with the launch of our new website later this year along with identifying and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the customer experience, streamline operations and drive innovation across technology, digital and data,” Dovico said.
Dovico's new team will also oversee the system integration of Beyond Bank’s two current banking merges.
The bank is working through the merge of both AWA Mutual and First Choice Credit Union and is working to ensure customers are transitioned onto the Beyond Bank platform gaining access to its mobile app and internet banking platform.
Before joining Beyond Bank, Dovico was NAB’s executive for digital, customer and colleague for just over two years and holds a total of 17 years in the banking and financial services industry.
Dovico has also led global teams of over 600 people across Australia, Vietnam and India and while at Westpac ran technology teams across all of retail and marketing technology.
During her time at NAB, Dovico also led the digital technology capability which included all digital platforms across retail, business corporate and institutional banks (internet banking, NAB Connect, mobile, public website, chatbot and front-line colleague digital capabilities.
NAB expands role
Jon Donoghue, NAB Executive for digital and customer enabling technology told Digital Nation, “Karthik Iyer will take on accountability for the digital - customer and colleague function within the digital and customer enabling technology team.”
“This is an expanded position which combines all of Karthik’s existing responsibilities, including customer onboarding along with all digital channels.
“Bringing these functions together provides us with an opportunity to simplify our structure and better align with our key business stakeholders and their needs to deliver for our customers.
“Karthik is a highly experienced Digital leader and I know that the addition of these teams to his portfolio will create a more complete and consistent service offering for our Digital stakeholders,” Donoghue said.
