The company advised customers of the upcoming bulletins scheduled for June 14 in an advance notice posted on its website, as part of its monthly security update schedule. Seven of the updates affect Windows and have an "aggregate, maximum severity rating" of critical.
Microsoft assigns the critical rating to a vulnerability that if exploited, could allow an internet worm to spread without user action.
The other bulletins affect Windows and Microsoft Services for UNIX, Exchange, and Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server and Small Business Server. Those bulletins either are rated as moderate or important.
Microsoft also plans next week to release an updated version of its Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
The company said it will not release any more details about the security updates until June 14.
