Mike Nash, Microsoft security business and technology unit corporate vice president said in a statement the two companies would continue to work on deeper integration of Sybari software products with Microsoft products, such as Exchange Server.
The company will continue support Linux and Unix customers for the life of their contracts. It will also continue to sell products for Exchange rival Lotus Domino.
As reported in SC Magazine in February, the software company bought Sybari to drive Microsoft's enterprise security strategy. Sybari will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Microsoft.
