CCH buys Acclipse for unknown sum.

Global information services company firm CCH has bought Acclipse, a privately held Christchurch-based online accounting company, for an unknown sum.

Acclipse claims to have more than one thousand accounting firms as customers in New Zealand, Australia and India, and was founded in 2004. It has 55 employees currently.

Acclipse founder and chief executive Mike Chisholm said his team would report to Russell Evens, the president and chief executive of CCH parent company Wolters Kluwer Asia Pacific after the acquisition.

He hoped the deal would expand the reach of Acclipse’s iFirm and iBizz products for businesses and accounting firms respectively.

Existing Acclipse service and support teams would continue looking after the company’s customers, Chisholm said.
