iTnews goes Mobile

By

Australia's most trusted source of technology news comes straight to your handheld with the launch of iTnews Mobile Edition.

The iTnews Mobile Edition has all the same great content you expect from iTnews, optimised for easy navigation and search on your handheld device. All the latest news, popular stories, features, events, reviews and photo galleries from iTnews are at your fingertips.

iTnews goes Mobile

The mobile-optimised site is available at http://mobile.itnews.com.au and should work on just about all Internet-enabled smartphones. (We have even trialled it on a few old bricks! Success!)

And there are features for owners of Apple's iPhone, such as the ability to e-mail an article to a friend and place a shortcut to iTnews on your home screen.

We built the Mobile Edition to prepare for an expected surge in mobile Internet use. Analyst group IDC suggests that by the middle of the year, there will be nine percent more 3G subscribers than 2G subscribers around the world. Australia's largest mobile carrier Telstra reported at Mobile World Congress that mobile data accounts for some 36 percent of its revenues.

We're certainly very proud of the interface of the Mobile Edition. Click here for a look - we're keen to hear your feedback! You can e-mail me at bwinterford[at]itnews.com.au
