Internode has boosted its 3G wireless broadband quotas in a move that will make the plans more competitive with other offers in the market.

It was announced today that the $14.95 plan will now include 500MB of data and the $39.95 plan jumps from 3GB to 5GB per month in its allowance.

Internode raises 3G download caps

The ISP had faced some criticism when it launched the NodeMobile data services last month because the services did not appear to offer the same value as plans from rival service providers.

But these latest changes to the download caps have been welcomed by some users of Whirlpool's Internode forum.

Internode is also likely to win support from existing users, who will have their plans automatically upgraded to the new download limits.

The service runs on the Optus 3G network.
