Cochlear is on the hunt for a new chief financial officer as current CFO Stu Sayers is gearing up to take on the president for the Asia Pacific and Latin America region position next year.

The role change will take effect at the start of January 2025 with Sayers holding his current CFO role until then, according to Cochlear [pdf].
The new CFO will hold responsibility for all finance related matters, including statutory, budgetary and forecasting accounting plus oversee investor relations, taxation, foreign exchange and legal matters.
The hearing solutions business announced several executive team changes last Friday, stating it’s now holding an executive search for a new CFO and will make an announcement when the role has been filled.
Sayers will then take over from current president for the Asia Pacific and Latin America region, Anthony Bishop.
Meanwhile, Bishop will be appointed president of the EMEA region from the start of next year, taking over from Richard Brook.
In his new role, Bishop will oversee the development and execution of the strategic direction for Australia, Asia, the South Pacific and Latin America operations,
Cochlear CEO and president Dig Howitt welcomed the changes in a statement from the company.

Speaking on Brook’s decision to step down from his long-held president for the EMEA region role, Howitt said, “Richard has overseen a period of substantial growth for EMEA, with an eight-fold increase in revenue during that time.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for his dedication and leadership which has contributed to Cochlear's growth and success.
“His contributions will have a lasting impact and he leaves behind a strong legacy of achievement that will guide us into the future. We wish him all the best in the future,” Howitt said.
