Ausgold carves out new leadership team

On Monday Ausgold said Ben Stockdale has been appointed to the role of chief financial officer (CFO) while Troy Collie is now manager for environment and approvals [pdf].

The two new executives to the management team are said to help build out its capacity to deliver the Katanning Gold Project (KGP) in Western Australia.

Ausgold’s executive chairman John Dorward said, “We are very pleased to bolster our senior management ranks with two executives of Ben and Troy’s calibre.

Dorward said he worked with Stockdale at MPI Mines and “believes that he is perfectly suited to delivering the financing for the development of the KGP, along with maintaining the highest standards of financial management.”

“Troy is a significant hire for Ausgold as it begins its journey through the permitting and approvals process. His demonstrated abilities and deep experience will make him a significant asset to the company and its stakeholders.

“Hiring Ben and Troy, along with other planned appointments in the coming months, will position Ausgold strongly to deliver on its core mission of building the Katanning Gold Project and fully realising the potential of the Company’s commanding regional land position in Western Australia’s South-West,” Dorward said.

Before landing at Ausgold, Stockdale worked at Sunrise Energy Metals for nearly ten years. He also holds experience in senior finance roles at Unity Mining, Tigers Realm Group and Citadel.

Meanwhile, Collie spent over ten years at Mount Gibson Iron Limited as general manager for environment where he was responsible for delivering approvals, compliance and closure.

Collie also spent a brief time as an IAP partner at ERM Environmental Resources Management plus over six years working with various environmental consulting groups such as AECOM and Sinclair Knight Merz.
