Government lifts ban after interference testing.

The Israeli government has issued a statement saying that the ban on iPads entering the country is no longer in effect.

The ban, which has reportedly seen up to 10 iPads seized at the border by customs officers, was imposed after concerns about interference with Israeli wireless networks, but has been lifted after the iPad was tested.

"Following the completion of intensive technical scrutiny Israel's minister of communications, Moshe Kakhlon, approved the import of [the] iPad to Israel," the Communications Ministry told Reuters.

"Accordingly, the import of a single device per person will be permitted commencing April 25."

Israel has not been alone in blocking the iPad. Several US universities, including Princeton, George Washington and Cornell, have banned the device or severely limited its use.
