Concerto Software has acquired Rockwell First Point Contact, claiming the move will expand its global reach in the contact centre solution space.

US-based Concerto has been a contact centre software supplier for over 20 years, with offices in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

In the press announcement, Concerto Software president and CEO, Jim Foy, said: "By combining our proven technologies, track records in the industry and talented people, we can apply unparalleled insight to help companies transform the way they interact with customers."

Concerto says it expects "in excess of $250 million in annual revenues" as a result of the merger.

According to the release, Concerto's acquisition of Rockwell First Point Contact from its US parent company, Rockwell Automation, will allow the latter company to focus solely on its core industrial automation business.
