Steve Baxter gets non-executive role.

Listed IP transit provider Vocus has added Pipe Networks co-founder Steve Baxter to its board.

Baxter had been with Pipe when it listed on the Australian Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of $14 million.

It was sold this year to TPG Telecom for $373 million.

"I have known the Vocus team for many years from my days at Pipe Networks," Baxter said.

"I am very happy to be invited to join the board in this non executive role and look forward to Vocus’ exciting future."

Vocus recently snapped up E3 Networks' Sydney and Melbourne data centres for $5.9 million, signalling a diversification from its core transit business.
