Visionstream has won a $21 million contract to provide an intelligent transport system and associated communications infrastructure for Melbourne's Westgate freeway.

Visionstream lands Westgate freeway system project

The firm, part of Leighton Contractors, will design, supply and integrate lane use signs, variable message signs, traffic data collection stations, CCTV cameras and supporting infrastructure.

The contract also covers system management, fault restoration and maintenance for two years.
