The moat, reported by USA Today and Fast Company, is a drainage pond to the side of a "vicious hairpin turn", that is designed to stop cars from speeding up to the front door.

The approach road also contains a "hydraulic bollard" system that can stop cars travelling at up to 80 kilometres an hour, the reports said.

The facility is one of two in North America that process Visa's financial transactions and covers approximately 42,000 metres of technical floorspace, according to reports.
