Updated Mozilla Firefox browser corrects 16 flaws

Firefox 3.5.4 shores up 11 "critical" flaws that could result in a remote attacker installing malicious software on victim machines.

Of the nearly dozen bulletins released by Mozilla as part of the security update, one involved four browser engine flaws related to memory corruption. Another bulletin addressed upgrading third-party libraries used in media rendering to remediate three memory safety and stability bugs.

According to the release notes of the browser installment, 3.5.4 also includes a nonsecurity fix for a problem that prevented some sites using SSL to properly load images and styles after a user cleared their recent browsing history.
